Marble effigy of Susanna Hare, d. 1741, by Peter Scheemakers in the Hare Chapel attached to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Stow Bardolph in Norfolk.
An English translation of a Latin inscription reads: 'SUSANNA HARE (D. 1741) / Beneath This Marble / Are buried the ashes of Susanna Hare / Fourth daughter of THOMAS HARE, Baronet / Whom ingenuous Modesty, shrewd Judgement, / Simple Truth, incorrupt Faith, adorned in her health; / Noted Constancy, wondrous Patience, in her sickness; / Excellent Gentleness and pious Resignation, as she died / On the 22nd day of March AD 1741, Aged 57 / She placidly breathed her last / Looking to a blessed Resurrection. // THOMAS HARE Baronet near this monument / Which he long ago placed in memory of his sister / Dying on the 21st day of February / In the year of the Lord 1760, and aged 74 / Now rests.'
