A South German war chest, 1st half of the 17th century Rectangular sheet iron body with iron strap fittings, supported on (replaced) wooden ball feet. At the front false keyhole with decorated escutcheon, two hasps for padlocks. Two movable side handles. Hinged lid, covered keyhole with hidden mechanism, lock mechanism consisting of seven locks, chaplet with intact ward, hollow shank key with ring bow.
