Very Large Telescope (VLT) image of three interacting galaxies in the Pavo (peacock) constellation. The galaxies are NGC 6769 (upper right), NGC 6770 (upper left), and NGC 6771 (lower left). They are at a distance of 190 million light-years from Earth. This is a composite of images taken on 1 April 2004, the fifth anniversary of the VLT, which is located at the Paranal Observatory in Chile.
