Wild Boar Farm, Chipping, Preston, UK June 2014. New arrivals, (a drift or drove of piglets). Unusual little pigs enjoying the sunshine. Populations of Wild Boar have been artificially introduced in some parts of the world, most notably the Americas and Australasia, where they are regarded as both an important pork food resource. In England, populations have re-established themselves after escapes from captivity in areas where they had previously been extirpated. Piglets are born with characteristic brown and yellow stripes.
