Agartala, India. 10th October 2017. Supporters of the Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) conducted a sit-in-demonstration. The tribal party, that has been struggling to get separate state for indigenous communities of Tripura, as earlier accused of being involved in the murder of television journalist Santanu Bhowmik. The party denied the claims and ever since demanded a CBI enquiry on the issue. The demonstration was organized on a number of issues including the demand for CBI probe.
