The ELCAS\M currently reaches 1,200 feet in length, and reaches steady depths of 20 feet, is a joint ACB-1 and ACB-2 effort, serving as an additional tool in the ongoing Combined Joint Logistics Over the Shore (CJLOTS) activities as well as the possible redeployment of the largest Amphibious Operation of all time. CJLOTS allows the offload of supplies, equipment and ordnance from Army and Navy prepositioning ships, to reach the troops in a timelier manner. ACB-1 and ACB-2 have been deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
