Thanet Earth is located between Margate and Ramsgate on the Isle of Thanet in Kent. It is a large high-tech agriculture project comprising the largest greenhouse complex in the UK. The crops are marketed by Thanet Earth Marketing Ltd which is 50% owned by Fresca Group Ltd who originally purchased the site, with the remaining 50% owned by companies who are specialist growers and have purchased their own plot and constructed their greenhouse at Thanet Earth. All crops are packed and marketed through Thanet Earth Marketing Ltd. The planning permission for the site allows construction of up to seven greenhouses - so far four have been built.
