Jews, Hea-thens, Mahometans, all concur with the great body ofChristians from the beginning, that the doctrine of theTrinity is a doctrine of our New Testament. We areso far, therefore, from feeling shame at being thoughtto embrace this sentiment, that we glory in the prin-ciple before the assembled world of infidels and philo-sophers, and are persuaded it throws a divine lustre overthe records of our salvation, and makes them worthy ofGod to reveal, and of all acceptation by man.
