Billockby church Norfolk

Billockby church stands on a rise to the east of the Acle to Stalham road with no other building near although access lanes connect with busy roads. Part are derelict, the tower having been heavily damaged by a lightning strike in 1762. Falling masonry destroyed the nave, leaving the thatched chancel to stay in use though in poor condition until restoration of 1872. The remainder of the church is still a ruin except for the south porch, which now stands alone against the ruin of the south nave wall.
