Wairakei is a 181 Megawatt geothermal power station in the Taupo Volcanic Zone on the north island of New Zealand supporting around three to four per cent of the countries electricity. Here a drilling rig is installed for a new drilling. Das Wairakei-Geothermie-Kraftwerk liegt in der Taupo-Zone auf der Nordinsel von Neuseeland und liefert mit 181 Megawatt rund drei bis vier Prozent der in Neuseeland benötigten Elektrizität. Hier wird gerade ein Bohrturm für eine neue Bohrung vorbereitet.
