I know that I owe you loyalty and allegiance, which I have hardest worked and most poorly paid employe on your trained staff and that my judgement and ideas never received any particular attention. I know very well what my duty to you and to the S R is, but I also know that I owe a higher duty to myself and to my four children. Those four children come first, Nothing else on earth is so important to me as they are. I know, I knew when I passed through St. Louis that a Titanic fight must be made if I escape going to prison.
