Fountain in a park, with sculptures of gods from ancient Greek mythology.

The Archibald Fountain (full name J F Archibald Memorial Fountain). Built in 1932 in art deco style it commemorates the association between Australia and France during the first world war. It was built for this purpose as instructed in the will of J F Archibald. The sculptor was M Francois Sicard. At the top of the sculpture sits Apollo representing beauty and light, which is the focus here. See also BD25FT.
