An F/A18E Super Hornet prepares for take-off at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Feb. 10, 2022. The aircraft assisted in the training on the Versatile Integrating Partner-Nation Equipment Refueling kit. This was the first time the 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron used the VIPER kit in a joint environment and on an F/A18E. The kit allows any filtered fuel source to offer hot pit refueling capability during Agile Combat Employment operations providing highly mobile fuel support.
