View NW of Kensaleyre kerb cairn with Kensaleyre North cairn beside the former A856 (now A87) road to rear, Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK. The smaller cairn (15ft diameter) has a kerb of stones set on edge & a central burial cist made of four slabs set on edge. About a third of the N cairn was cut away during road improvements. Part of a Neolithic & Bronze Age ritual & funerary complex of cairns & standing stones centred on NG 425506, E of the A87 & just SE of the B8036 junction. Loch Snizort Beag is just visible to the rear.
