A stained glass window by Heaton, Butler and Bayne, St Nicholas Church, Leeds, Kent. Dedicated to Lieutenant-Commander Walter Bousfield Watkins Grubb

The window is dedicated (among others) to Lieutenant-Commander Walter Bousfield Watkins Grubb who was killed in action on 22nd September 1914. He was serving aboard HMS Cressey which was sunk by the German U-boat, U9, off the Dutch coast. The kneeling knight who appears to be about to receive a glowing crown from Christ may be a depiction of Watkins Grubb.
