Hawaiian long-armed sand octopus, Thaumoctopus, Abdopus, or Macrotritopus sp, flatfish swimming (mimicking flounder), Hookena, South Kona, Hawaii, USA

Hawaiian long-armed sand octopus, Thaumoctopus, Abdopus, or Macrotritopus sp., flatfish swimming by compressing its arms together and undulating, rather than swimming by jet propulsion as cephalopods usually do. It may be mimicking a flounder or it may be that this method of swimming is just more energy efficient than jetting water through its funnel; Ho'okena, South Kona, Hawaii (the Big Island), USA ( Central North Pacific Ocean )
