NTKRKSTING serviceswere held on October 27last in the EvangelicalReformed Church, ofFrederick, Marvland, tocommemorate the onehundredth anniversary ofthe steeple, in which ishoused the town clock of Frederick. Fhetown clock itself is older than the steeple inwhich it is located, having been inoperation since 1797, and the stonetower which is surmounted by thesteeple is still older, having beenerected in 1764, and being, it is said,the oldest church tower in Mar\-land.
