KEARNEY, WIFE AND CHILDRENON TUG HUGH L. BOND, JR. The annual outing of the Company employesat New York and St. George was held on Sun-day, August 8th, at Duers Grove, WhitestoneLanding, Long Island. The management verykindly gave us the use without charge of thesteam lighter Potomac, which left Pier 22, a. m., arriving at Whitestone for a latebreakfast. After eating, a very well playedgame of baseball was staged between Pier 22s TH1-: HAI/lIMOKKAND (JlllO EMPLOVKS MA(.AZIXK 79. office force and irtcain coin{)ose(l of the tugboatmen and some of the nien from St. George. Thegame was won by Pier 22,the score being eight tothree. After the game,the remainder of the ath-letic program was com-pleted, there being valua-ble prizes for the winnersof the various running andjumping they had been finished the merry-makers proceeded to the dining room, where asumptuous dinner was served. The homeward journey was very pleasantlyspent in dancing on the deck of the boat to themusic of Mr. Winters band, and selections werealso rendered by Harry Casey, chief clerk ofthe westbound department at Pier 22.
