STAD AMSTERDAM, a fast Dutch three-masted steel-hulled clipper, passing Kronborg at Elsinore in the Sound, Øresund, between Denmark and Sweden. The tall ship is headed for Amaliehaven in port of Copenhagen and open for visitors and tourists July 24th, 2014. STAD AMSTERDAM (City of Amsterdam) was built in Amsterdam in 2000, designed by Gerard Dijkstra and built in Amsterdam in 2000 as "a modern extreme clipper in historical perspective". The STAD AMSTERDAM is used for training and as a charter-ship for guests with a crew mainly from the Netherlands and Denmark, she won the 2001 Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Race.
