In the month of October most of the Humla peoples are busy for harvesting crops and collecting grass for their cattle. And they have to handover their duties of child care also and some times they must be faced by unexpected incidents to their infants. Karnali district specially above Simikot valley almost half of the year covered by snows and there is no more rice paddy for enough food supply, is known as food scarcity remote area, FAO and World Food Program distributed rice as "Work for Food" program. Half a year they put their cows inside the house fed by collected hey and foods, all the streams have been frozen in this cold season. Most of the peoples are poor and appears wrinkles in their face. Special food is rice from Kathmandu, Nepaljung and Tibet but locally harvested Humla rice is insufficient. Some degree holders have started apple farming in the huge field of Jumla as a social youth promoter. In the right time Nepalese youth poring Middle East for low paid job.
