I then organized my party and proceeded with the survey of sections andthe necessary outlines for three miles on each side of the Pas branch of the CanadianXortheru railway, commencing at Pas and working southward. When the easterlyportion of township 55, range 26, west of the principal meridian was completed, asit was found impossible to survey the east boundary of township 55, range 27, at thistime, owing to floods, and the east boundaries of townships 53 and 54, ranges 26 and27, until the extension of the fourteenth base line across ranges 27 and 26, the workhere was discontinued
