Looking SE at the Devil's Arrows, Boroughbridge; three prehistoric standing stones of millstone grit arranged in a roughly N-S line. The natural blocks, each weighing over 20 tons, were brought from near Knaresborough 7 miles away. N stone = high, central stone, 61m to S, = high, S stone, 113m away from central stone, = high. Originally, an additional two smaller stones may have made a row of five.
