The 11th century church of St Eata is still open for worship, Church of England since the Reformation of the 16th century. It is the most southerly church dedicated to St Eata. The village of Atcham is part of the borough of Shrewsbury and Atcham, a popular tourist destination in Shropshire, and home to the stately home of Attingham Park, now owned by the National Trust.
