It offers not a Gold Crown of Rash Ambition, nor a Silver Crown of Self-interest,but a Leaden Crown of September. 1912. with this Crown of Success in view, the Aryan Literary Society opened wide its doors so thatan\- new student might join her ranks and be benefitted thereby. Our initial meeting saw our Society swelled in numbers,and every successive meeting added some new ones to its fold. In our special meeting, a play, Along the Potomac, wasvery well rendered and enjoyed by all. Ihis was followed by a Charles Dickens Meeting, summarizing the main facts inthe life and work of Charles Dickens. The Aryan Reunion was held May 17, 1013, at which the Ben Greet Players gave a most enjoyable rendition of TheTaming of the Shrew.
