United States Air Force 104th Fighter Wing Airmen salute the flag during a ceremony for the 9/11 Ground Zero Flag August 11, 2022, at Barnes Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts. The Ground Zero flag, that three New York City firefighters raised above the World Trade Center rubble on September 11, 2001, was donated to the National September 11th Memorial Museum in commemoration of the attacks, where it will be retired on November 2, 2022.
