A few days after the battle of Gettysburg numerous car-riages from Baltimore and other towns in Maryland visited thehospital, bringing with them delicacies, jellies, wines, etc., in-tended exclusively for the Confederate soldiers in the latter were receiving the same care and attention as ourown soldiers, getting a part of the supplies furnished by theSanitary and Christian Commissions.
