No fewer than 35,000 fleeceswere catalogued, and the prices realised werevery satisfactory. Of the 160 lots offered, lesskhan half a dozen were passed over unsold. Theaverage price realised was about Is. OJd. per lb.,some fleeces making as much as Is. 24d. per the wool offered was English wool, and wascomprised practically of fleeces from Southdownflocks, only a few Kent, Exmoor, Scotch, andcrossbred fleeces being Teesdale, Haymaking operations interfered with theattendance at the Teesdale wool-sales last week,but a fair amount of business was wool r-amo more freely to hand, and thefeatnrc of all classes of wool it* markedcUanlinexs. From small beginnings, this county show hasgrown to be one of the best in its district. Thehearty manner in which all connected with itsmanagement do their work, assisted by their ableand courteous Secretary, thoroughly deserves thesuccess that has attendee this years exhibitionheld at Horsham. This mid-Sussex town gavethe Society a hearty welcome, and the showground was well adapted for its purpose.
