Edward Owens (left), officer in charge, Expeditionary Medical Facility (EMF) and Site Superintendent Leonidas Theofilou, break ground on a new EMF facility on base, Dec. 21, 2018. The new 30,000 square-foot, single-story structure will provide immediate life-saving measures and preventative care including advanced trauma management and emergency medical treatment capabilities to more than 5000 forward-deployed service members and base personnel. The $20 million project is scheduled for completion in October 2020.
