Bush covered with the webs of the Ermine Moth larva, England

The ermine moth larvae form communal webs which can smother a bush in white silken webbing. It is a quite extraordinary sight in May or June. This phenomenon can temporarily exfoliate a bush or tree, but after the larvae have gone the bush recovers.
