A step back in time rests in the samll Illinois communty of Odell which contains a restored, full-service 1932 Standard Oil gas station along the old Route 66 roadway. The structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The attraction is maintained consistent with an era prior to the interstate road system where Route 66 was the primary road route between Chicago and Los Angeles. The romance and nostalgia associated with the "Mother Road" remains to the current day.
