Blathwayt records that two were shot near Grantham and one near Lincoln between September 24th and October 5%, 1908 {Zool., 1908, p. 428). On September 26th an immature bird was shot near Oldham (F. Stubbs, Nat., 1908, p. 456). One was shot near Beccles and another near Great Yarmouth (? in September), (B. Dye, Zool,, 1908, p. 468). Lincolnshire and Somersetshire Heronries.—The Rev. F. L.
