Father Midgeol. The church isnow ministered to by the Rev. Joseph In addition to the church, there is aParochial School where the children of theparish are educated. 83. LIVINGSTON AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH THE LIVINGSTON AVENUEBAPTIST CHURCH. HE Livingston Avenue BaptistChurch was organized May9, 1872, under the name of>***f« the Remsen Avenue BaptistChurch. The first churchedifice was on the corner of Remsen Ave-nue and Redmond Street, in the buildingwhich is now Masonic Temple. Its firstpastor was Rev. A. E. Waffle, whoserved from 1 873 to 1 880. The second pastor was the Rev. W. H. Marsh, whoserved until 1885. He was succeededby the Rev. Dr. M. V. McDuffie, whocontinued as pastor until 1895. Duringhis pastorate, the present handsomechurch edifice on Livingston Avenue waserected, and the name of the churchchanged to the Livingston Avenue BaptistChurch. In May, 1895, the Rev. C. became pastor of the church, andcontinued until 1900. In April, 1901,the present pastor. Rev. Albert BaconSears, took charge. The present mem- 84 bership of the church is 568, and thechurch is entirely free from debt, the cur-rent expenses being met by subscription
