Furthermore, theirreconcilable nature of some of the statutes, fromwhich more than one value can be determined, unsettlesconclusions based upon them and compels the exerciseof independent judgment. In any event whether thereader be competent to test the recorded facts with theskill of an expert numismatist or can simply apply thetests open to an ordinary business man, the recapitula-tion and study of the same events will be necessary.
