His wife, formerly Miss JessieEaston, is a native of San Francisco. Thev have one TOM WELLS RANSOMConsulting Mechanical Engineer TOM WELLS RANSOM wasborn in San Francisco, Oc-tober 11, 1869, son of Elisha Ran-som, a well-known grain is a graduate of Lowell HighSchool, and the University of Califor-nia College of Mechanics. In 1907 liewas employed to assist the City En-gineer in the preparation of plansfor an Auxiliary Water Supply Sys-tem for Fire Protection and in 1908,during the administration of MayorTaylor, was appomted to the posi-tion which he is now lilling. He isresponsible for the design and con-struction of the mechanical featuresof the Auxiliary W^ater Supply S}s-tem. Municipal Railways and otherimportant city enterprises. He mar-ried Edith Colwell of Spokane. He is a member of the Universit}and Commonwealth Clubs and of the American Society of MechanicalEns^ineers.
