A pair of percussion pistols with holster for Cossack units, Liège, circa 1840 Round barrels with five-groove rifled bores in 15 mm calibre and three iron barrel bands. The chambers are stamped with the German Imperial proofmark, "V" beneath a crown, and with ELG marks on the sides. Back-action percussion locks. The walnut stocks have flat ball pommels and iron lanyard rings. Length of each 45 cm. The pair comes with a matching (somewhat shrunken) leather holster with carrying loops on the back. Cf.
