Street Food Market in Hong Kong - Traders Selling Vegtables [Graham Street Market, Graham Street, Hong Kong, China, Asia]. .

Graham Street is one of the oldest markets in Victoria City of Hong Kong. Located in Central, the street starts in Queen's Road Central and runs uphill and south to Staunton Street, crossing Stanley Street, Wellington Street, Gage Street, Lyndhurst Terrace, and Hollywood Road. The street is narrow but allows two rows of stalls on each side. Fresh food like seafoods, vegetables, meats, and others can be found along the street. Currently, the URA (Urban Renewal Authority) are planning to redevelop Graham Street. This will affect over 30 buildings in the process. Gage Street is also a street in Central, Hong Kong. It is on the lower hill and between the junction with Cochrane Street and Lyndhurst Terrace, Graham Street and Aberdeen Street. It is named after William Hall Gage. A Street market is an outdoor market such as traditionally held in a market square in a market town, and are often held only on particular days of the week. Very similar markets, or bazaars can also be found in large enclosed spaces, instead of on a street. Street markets in Hong Kong are held all the days except few traditional Chinese holidays like Chinese New Year. Stalls opened at two sides of a street are required to have licenses issued by the Hong Kong Government. In Hong Kong there are street markets of various kinds such as fresh foods, clothing, cooked foods, flowers, and even electronics. The earliest form of markets are known as Gaa si. Some of them are being replaced by shopping centres, markets in municipal service buildings, and supermarkets, while some became tourist attractions like Tung Choi Street and Apliu Street. Other Kong Kong Street Markets are located in Apliu Street, Fuk Wa Street, Gutzlaff Street, Ladies Market, Lyndhurst Terrace, Peel Street, Pei Ho Street, Pottinger Street, Reclamation Street, Stanley Market, Tsing Yi Town, Tung Choi Street, Wing Kut Street, Wing On Street, and Wing Sing Street.
