Proboscis aborted, minute; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching to about vertex ol' head and slenderly scaled, the 3rd moderate; frons smooth ; eyes large, round; anl,enn£e of male with fascicles of long cilia; thorax clothed almost entirely with scales, the prothorax without cret;t, the metathorax with spreading crest; tibice slightly fringed with hair ; abdomen with dorsal crest at base only. Fore wing long and narrow, the apex rounded, the termen evenly curved and not crenulate ; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; 6 from upper angle ; 7, 8, 9, 10 Stalked, 10 from beyond 7 ; 11 from cell. Hind wing with veins 3, 4 from angle of cell ; 5 almost fully developed from well above angle; 6, 7 from upper angle, 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. 5833. Head and thorax purplish red mixed with whitish ; palpi with some blackish at sides; tarsi fuscous ringed with whitish; abdomeu whitish tinged with red and irrorated with blackish. Fore wing purplish red mixed with yellowish ; antemedial line indistinct, verj'^ oblique from costa to discal fold where it is angled acutely outwards, then very oblique inwardly to inner margin and slightlj^ sinuous; postmedial line double filled in with pinkish, the outer.
