Herr Von Moltke,thoroughly convincedfrom careful study andfrom his own practicalexperience, of the trust-worthiness of the Christ-ly religion which hadhealed him, identifiedhimself with the move-ment, and, being a tal-ented musician of excep-tional ability, gladly 276 AMONG THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES. gave his services as soloist for thereligious services of First Church ofChrist, Scientist, in Hannover. The studious habits, the profoundscholarship, the kindly nature, andthe simple faith of the German peo-. First Church of Christ, Scientist, Kansas City, Mo pie make easy the acceptance of theChrist Science which Mrs. Eddy hasnamed Christian Science. In the past, only the State churchof Germany has had a charter fromthe government. On application,however, from the Christian Scien-tists, an exception was made in theiifavor. Apart from the State churchthis is the only denomination whichhas ever been granted a charter bythe empire. Cases of healing have occurred sofrequently at the meetings of thisHannover church that now people attend their services for that purpose,and their simple faith is thus mani-fested.
