Lewis, Lynnwood, Va. by Admiral Dewey, is far more highly valued than anyother youngster on the place, as he is handsome, well-formed and shows the disposition to trot naturally. LaJolla cost the late J Malcolm Forbes $2,500 as a yearlingand but for an attack of distemper, which caused her re-tirement, would have been a very fast mare, but sheseems destined, however, to make a very great producer,as was her dam, Sally Benton, 2:17 3-4, and her granddam the great Sontag Mohawk. La Jolla was bred in1907 to Bow Axworthy and the comely gray mare appearsto be with foal to that son of Axworthy and Mystic, thedam of Fred Kohl. 2:07 3-4, by Nutwood.******* Thriving and popular, and now, as for years past, oneof the most important members of the Virginia Horse ShowCircuit, thf- Orange Horsemens
