Andreas Schau was the captain of the German steamship "Mannheim" from Hamburg. In the front the engraved dedication "Presented by the British Government to - Andreas Schau - Master of the German steamship 'Mannheim' of Hamburg in acknowledgement of humanity and kindness to the shipwrecked crew of the British steamship 'British King' of Liverpool,
