Christ, with the sword of Justice, and a woman (the Virgin? The heavenly Jerusalem?) Holding both the lily of mercy and the olive tree of peace intercede with God, represented by one eye and a hand the universe containing cruciferous integrating sphere sun, moon and earth, which meet the bottom Sil and hands of man imploring his salvation. The iconography of this small panel in which each pattern carries more meaning remains enigmatic, it goes beyond devotion and probably refers to the learning of a "belle-lettre" while flourishing in Flanders.
