The Drum Tower was first built in 1272 during the Yuan Dynasty. Later it was reconstructed in 1297 during the Yuan Dynasty. It was again rebuilt in 1420 and 1539 in the Ming Dynasty. The two-story building was made of wood The Drum Tower is made of wood with a height of On its second floor there originally were 25 drums. Among them, there were one large drum and 24 smaller drums.
