The main mass of the inferior olixary nucleus lorms a plicated sac, the nKjuth of which is directed dorsomesially, while the fundus, w hich is directed ventrolatcrallx, presents numerous coinolutions producmo; tlu' eminence on the surface of the stem, called the olivary eminence. Dorsomesially, the dorsal lamina of the oli\ar\ nucleus and the dorsal accessory nucleus luse and rest upon the \cntral surface of the reticular formation w hich is hollowed out to receive this of gray material.
