BETHESDA, Md. (Jun. 28, 2017) Students, along with support from the Navy Experimental Dive Unit located within Naval Support Activity Panama City, take part in the 14th International Submarine Race (ISR) at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, in Bethesda, Md. The mission of the ISR is to inspire students to explore broad areas of underwater technology advancement, foster advances in subsea vehicle hydrodynamic, propulsion and life support systems and to increase the public awareness of the challenges people face in working in and exploring the ocean depths.
