SASEBO, Japan (March 22, 2021) – Rebekah Gilstrap, a program coordinator at the Sasebo Education Center, picks up mikans to use in the Commander, Navy Region Japan (CNRJ) Oishii Dessert Competition onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo March 22, 2021. The competition, open to all CNRJ active duty, reserve, and SOFA personnel, is to create a unique traditional American dessert incorporating a well known local produce for presentation to the installation’s host city as a cultural gift of goodwill.
