Two levers of different lengths, towhich the draught eveners of the teamare secured, are pivoted one on eitherside of the jaws, and are connected by a chain that passes around asheave secured on the under side of the drawbar. By this means thedraught is equalilzed between the two beams. Swinging arms, pivotedto the sides of the beam, sustain the chains and hold them so as to drawstraight from the equalizing levers. 4.
