Srinagar, Indian Administered Kashmir. 11 June 2014 :Crushed stones drilled from headrace tunnel being dumped on a mountain in Bandipora 100 km north of Srinagar The km tunnel, km was constructed using a tunnel boring machine (TBM), the first successful TBM operation to create a headrace tunnel. India's infrastructure major Hindustan Construction Company, along with United Kingdom company Halcrow, is executing the 330 mw Kishanganga hydroelectric power project in the region. The Hague’s Permanent Court of Arbitration that the project is violating the Indus Water Treaty and infringing on Islamabad’s water rights.
