Astronauts performing spacewalk. Astronauts Christer Fuglesang (right) and Robert Curbeam (centre) participating in the first extravehicular activity (EVA, or spacewalk) of the STS-116 Space Shuttle Discovery mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The EVA lasted 6 hours and 36 minutes as the astronauts continued construction of the ISS. The 12-day mission launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA, on 10th December 2006.
