Blue sky portrait replica of Polish Home Army Kubus Armoured Car, to Crown Square Office Building, Warsaw Uprising Museum

The Warsaw Uprising Museum, housed in a former trams power station, opened 31 July 2004, the 60th Anniversary of the Uprising. Outside, the museum building, stands this replica of the single Kubus Armoured Car manufactured by insurgents during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. The car is based on the chassis of a Chevrolet 57 truck. The armoured car could carry 8-12 people, and was armed with a Soviet DP machine gun, K-pattern flamethrower and hand grenades. The original car, damaged in the Uprising, survived the war. In the background of the shot rises the Crown Square Office Building, the name, 'Oracle', on the roof referring to one of the main tenants.
