Blackpool, 31st. January 2017: Four environmental protesters locked themselves together with 'Lock-on' devices early this morning at the entrance to the Cuadrilla shale gas site, currently being prepared at Little Plumpton, on the A583 Preston to Blackpool road. Despite the local residents being overwhelmingly against the area being fracked and Lancashire County Council rejecting Cuadrillas application, Sajid Javid, communities secretary, overturned the Council decision which the locals deem undemocratic.


Blackpool, 31st. January 2017: Four environmental protesters locked themselves together with 'Lock-on' devices early this morning at the entrance to the Cuadrilla shale gas site, currently being prepared at Little Plumpton, on the A583 Preston to Blackpool road. Despite the local residents being overwhelmingly against the area being fracked and Lancashire County Council rejecting Cuadrillas application, Sajid Javid, communities secretary, overturned the Council decision which the locals deem undemocratic. The site has an ongoing protest each day from local people who are allowed inside the barriers to slow walk delivery vehicles for 15 minutes. The protesters or 'protectors as they refer to themselves are adamant they are going to stop the area and indeed the country from the fracking industry. Messages on the 'lock on' devices read " We said NO We mean NO", "Water is life" and "For Francis Egan, From UK Protection Community". Locked on protesters in front of the barriers on the entrance to Cuadrillas shale gas site on Preson New Road, Little Plumpton.
